Training Materials
Novartis has an ongoing commitment to education of healthcare workers and the communities they serve.
Initiatives have included training courses, for example a malaria case management programme for nurses in Zambia, as well as the development of educational materials for healthcare workers and community healthcare workers. These have been translated into 25 different languages and African dialects, and are distributed free of charge to the countries that request them.
For example: Health Worker’s workbook – education about malaria and how to take Coartem® / Coartem® Dispersible properly, addressing reasons for non-adherence, and describing how to talk to patients and train co-workers (produced in English, French, Portuguese and Swahili).
